Ashanti Douglas, popularly referred to as Ashanti was born in Glen Cove New York United States 13 October 1980. She is a songwriter, singer and actress of The United States. Ashanti was discovered while an teen and signing with Murder Inc. Records in 2002. In the same year she appeared in the Fat Joe's What's Luv? She also appeared in Fat Joe's track"What's Luv?"
